Every font on Nexfonts is sold or distributed under a license set by its designer. Here's how to read it.
Fonts marked "Free" are typically released under an open license, such as the SIL Open Font License, which generally allows personal and commercial use. The exact terms are always shown on the font's detail page — check there before using a free font in a commercial project.
Premium fonts are sold under licenses defined by the designer or foundry — common types include desktop licenses (for installing on your computer), web font licenses (for use in CSS @font-face), and app/embedding licenses. Some licenses limit the number of users, page views, or products a font can be used in.
Each font's detail page lists its license type. If anything is unclear, contact the designer directly through their profile, or reach out via our contact page and we'll help clarify.
Unless a license explicitly says otherwise, you generally cannot resell, redistribute, or claim authorship of a licensed font file itself. Using a font to design a logo or layout is different from distributing the font file — always check the specific license for redistribution and embedding rules.
